HOLLOW CREEK WOODCRAFT ~Where Wild Meets Wood!
Wood products for the everyday folks
the Wild Child of Wood
the 'Wild Child of Wood', also known as Jiggy and/or JigSaw Mama, is a more than suitable description of the gal - me, that makes your items of wood. I love the smell of wood, I love working wood - or rather, the way that wood works me. Of all the woods, Aromatic Red Cedar, and Pine - especially knotty pine, are my most favorites! Shhh, don't tell my hubby that I have a love affair with cedar! I love going out of the box, and sometimes the comfort zone, with my wood creations. If it is wild, wildhooy!; if it is sedate, then that is, as well, another harmonious moment in my journey.
Wood has always been in my family, on both sides. When I was a small child, oh so many years ago, we would take my grandpa his lunch, every day during the summer. The smell of sawdust was everywhere at the lumber yard! One of my brothers also worked at lumber yards, when he was old enough; he was, in addition, a sculptural iron artist. On the other side of the family, my great-grandpa made all of the barns, in a small town (Accident) in the state of Maryland. Many of those barns are still standing today. His son, my other grandpa, was a watchmaker. So it is no surprise, that I bought my first clock mechanism in 1999, not knowing why at that particular moment. Thus, Hollow Creek Woodcraft, was born.
I guarantee my craftsmanship, so if you have a problem, just holler to me and I'll make it right. Thank you for your business. It is appreciated.
